GATE 2012 Entrance Exam
Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering GAT exam held every year for post graduation courses. Every year it is conducted by any one of six IIT's or Isc's.

GATE 2012 Exam Date:Mid Sunday of February 2012
GATE 2012 Result:Mid of March (usually 15) 2012

Eligibility criteria for GATE 2012
1. BE/BTech degree holder or student who are final and pre final can also apply
2. Master degree holder are also eligible for GATE.
3. B.Sc final year student with math as measure can apply.
GATE Examination Pattern
Gate paper consists of 65 question carrying 100 mark.
GATE paper mark distribution
1. 1 to 25 carry 1 mark Negative mark- 1/3
2. 26 to 55 carry 2 mark Negative mark- 2/3
3. 56 to 60 carry 1 mark Negative mark- 1/3
4. 61 to 65 carry 2 mark Negative mark- 2/3
