UPSC GEOLOGISTS' EXAMINATION 2011
The Union Public Service commission (UPSC) is going to conduct Geologists' examination on 3rd December, 2011 for recruitment to various posts the details of post are given below.
UPSC Geologists Examination
Geologist Group A : 300 posts in Geological Survey of India
Jr. Hydrologists (Scientist B) Group A : 07 posts in Central Ground Water Board
Assistant Hydrologists Group B : 30 posts in Central Ground Water Board
Conditions of Eligibility
Eligibility criteria for UPSC Geologists' Examination
Age criteria- 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st January, 2011.
Educational Qualifications
a) Master's Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognised University
or
b)Master's Degree in Mineral Exploration
or
(c) Master's Degree in Hydrology
or
(d) Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

Apply online on UPSC website http://upsconline.nic.in/
Apply between 20/08/2011 to 19/09/2011.
Offline Application
Students can obtain the application from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Ooffices throughout the country through cash payment of Rs. 30/-, which must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service commission, Dholpur house, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post only or by Courier, on or before 26/09/2011.
