Pay Scale and Eligibility Criteria For West Bengal Primary Teacher Recruitment
Educational qualification-
Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with 50% marks and should have done Diploma in Elementary Education (or) Higher Secondary pass or its equivalent with 45% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (or) Higher Secondary pass or its equivalent with 50% marks and Diploma in Education (Special Education) (or) Graduate candidates with 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (or) Ability to read, write and speak the language relating to the medium they wish to apply for.
Age limit: Between 18 to 40 years as on 01.01.2012. Relaxation as per govt. norms.

Weightage System for WB Primary Teacher
Madhyamik examination - 10 marks
Higher Secondary - 15 marks
Training - 20 marks
TET - 40 marks
Extra curricular activity - 5 marks
Viva-voce or Interview - 10 marks
The TET exam consists of five section and are of total 100 marks details are given below.
Section I - Child Development - 20 marks
Section II - Language I - 20 marks
Section III - Language II - 20 marks
Section IV - Mathematics - 20 marks
Section V - Environmental Science - 20 marks
Those candidates who qualified written test will be called for Viva-voice/Interview . The Interview carries 10 marks.
