Indian Coast Guard under the Ministry of Defence, offers challenging career as a Group A Gazetted Officer in the rank of Assistant Commandant. Online Registration starts from 30th May 2013 and last date to apply is 30th June 2013. Read the details below.

Branches

1. General Duty
2. General Duty (Pilot/Navigator)
3. Technical Branch (Mechanical/Aeronautical / Electrical)
4. Pilots (Helicopter and fixed wing) for Short Service Appointment)
5. General Duty (Women) for Short Service Appointment).

Educational qualification and Age Limit

1. For General Duty (Men)

Bachelor's degree with min. 60% in Graduation as well as 12th Class with Maths, Physics.

Age limit - Born between 01 Jul 89 to 30 Jun 93

2. For General Duty Pilot, Navigator or Observer (Men)

B.Sc with Maths & Physics (Physics or Maths should be one of the subject in final year) with minimum 60% aggregate in B.sc and 12th Class in Maths and Physics.

Age limit - Born between 01 Jul 87 to 30 Jun 93

3. For Technical Branch (Mechanical / Aeronautical / Electrical) (Men)

Engineering degree with 60% marks in aggregate

Check the branches which is included in Mechanical, Electrical and Aeronautical

ii) 60% marks in aggregate in Physics and Maths in Class XII or 60% aggregate in three years diploma course or should have passed Section A and B of Institute of Engineers (India) examination in any of the above mentioned discipline with 60% makrs.

Age limit - Born between 01 Jul 84 to 30 Jun 93


4. For Pilots (Helicopter and fixed wings) (Men and Women)

12th pass with 60% marks in aggregate  and should possess current /valid commercial Pilot license approved by DGCA on the date of Preliminary Selection.

Age limit - 01 Jul 87 to 30 Jun 95

5. For General Duty (Women)

Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in Bachelors Degree with 60% marks in aggregate in 12th Class in Physics and Maths.

Pay scale in Indian Coast Guard

Assistant commandant Pay scale is Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-.
