AFCAT 2014 Notification
Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued a recruitment notification for Male and Female Candidates for Filling up Commissioned Officer Vacancies In Flying , Technical and Ground duty branch through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) - 2014 . AFCAT 2014 will be held on 23rd Feburary 2014.
For Men
Flying Branch:
a) No. 15 Short Service Commission (15 SSC) Course
Technical Branch:
a) No. 86 Aeronautical Engineers (86 AEC) Course (Permanent Commission)
b) No. 58 Short Service Commission (58 SSC) Course
Ground Duty Branches:
a) No. 137 Ground Duty Officers’ (137 GDOC) Course (Permanent Commission)
b) No. 30 Short Service Commission (30 SSC) Course
For Women
Flying Branch:
a) No. 44 Short Service Commission (44 SSC) Course
Technical Branch:
b) No. 58 Short Service Commission (58 SSC) Course
Ground Duty Branch:
c) No. 46 Short Service Commission (46 SSC) Course
Salary Offered By Air Force After Training
(a) Flying Branch:- Rs 69,130/-
(b) Technical Branch:- Rs 60,380/-
(c) Ground Duty Branches :- Rs 57,880/
NOTE: Apart from salary Officers are entitled to Furnished Accommodation, Comprehensive Medical Cover for self and dependants, Leave Travel Concession, Leave (60 days Annual and 20 days Casual), supply of entitled rations, canteen & Officers’ Mess facilities and many more.

Eligibility Criteria For Flying Branch
1. Age should be between 19 Years (02 January 1992) To 23 Years (01 January 1996) .
2. Educational Qualification -
Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognised University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and
have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech degree (Four year course) from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put togethe
Eligibility Criteria For Technical Branch
a) Age should be 18 years(01 January 1997) To 28 Years (02 January 1987)
(b) Educational Qualification-
Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}. Candidates applying for AE (L) branch would
be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies.
(ii) Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}. Candidates applying for AE (M) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) .
Eligibility Criteria For Ground Duty Branches
i) For Graduates Candidates age should be between 20 Years To 23 years .
ii) For Post Graduate / LLB Posts Candidates age should be between 20 years To 25 Years .
iii) For M.ED / Ph.D / CA / ICWA In Ground Duty Branches Posts Candidates age should
be between 20 years To 27 Years as on 01 January 2015 .
